WATERBERRY ZAMBEZI LODGE | VICTORIA FALLS (ZAMBIA)

Waterberry’s idyllic, scenic position on the banks of the Zambezi , with excellent accommodation and outstanding service, makes it the perfect base for a visit to Victoria Falls while escaping the busy town.

Guests can choose between three different accommodation options – bright, individual rooms in the 7-room lodge, a private safari house or a luxury tented woodland site.

Waterberry Lodge on the river has spacious sun and dining terraces, a lounge to enjoy the panoramic views, and magnificent gardens with individual cottages dotted around the lawns and along the river. An inviting swimming pool is surrounded by rockery gardens.

The River Farmhouse is a unique, private, riverfront safari house sleeping 8-10, with magnificent views across the Zambezi from the house and the beautiful infinity pool.

The Woodlands Forest Tents set in the shady woods of the conservation area are perfect for birdwatching and relaxing in the peaceful wild.

An international Zambian, German and British team run this independently owned lodge and Waterberry is a proud community partner. Guests are able to witness rural Zambian life first hand, and see how tourism is genuinely giving back with schools, a farming cooperative and adult skills centre.

CHOBE ELEPHANT CAMP | CHOBE RIVER FRONT

Located high on the edge of a rocky ridge overlooking the famous Chobe River is the newly developed Chobe Elephant Camp. This uniquely designed lodge has been built to take advantage of the incredible views overlooking the sweeping floodplains while offering a comfortable refuge from the harsh African conditions.

Entirely built out of sandbags from the red Kalahari sands that dominate the northern part of Botswana, this eco-friendly lodge presents an original design reminiscent of traditional African farmsteads and can accommodate up to 24 guests in eleven chalets. All rooms are en-suite with both indoor and outdoor showers and have private verandas to fully enjoy the views and surroundings. The lodge also boasts a large open-plan main area featuring a cosy arrangement of couches, bar, dining area and reading corner, along with a swimming pool with viewing deck onto a private water hole.

SPLASH | PRIVATE KWARA RESERVE

Splash Camp is situated in the heart of the Okavango Delta, within the Kwara Private Reserve. Located around a natural waterhole, which attracts game year round, the camp features 12 spacious ensuite rooms as well as a main area, bar, dining area and swimming pool.

Splash camp is in a permanent water location and thus can offer the following year-round activities: game drives, walking safaris, boat cruises, mokoro, and seasonal fishing (Mar-Dec only).

Splash's decor is contemporary yet simple; and in keeping with the Kwando Safaris' philosophy of being immersed in nature, all the rooms are open to the sounds of the bush. The main area, which is in the centre of the camp, is open air and allows the cool breeze to flow through and watch the animals that come down to drink. Within the main area, there is a bar, and lounge as well as an plunge pool and a curio shop.

Just in front, towards the waterhole is the fire pit where a light breakfast is served each day before heading off on activities, and stories are told after supper in the evenings.

POM POM | OKAVANGO DELTA

In the heart of the Okavango Delta within the MATSEBE concession area, Pom Pom Camp is another jewel in Botswana’s crown!

PomPom Camp is short 20-25minutes scenic flight over Okavango Delta from Maun.

The camp overlooks a scenic lagoon and is quietly nestled under grove shady trees. Here hippo grunt and frolic in front of camp’s permanent lagoon that is surrounded by miles of reeds. In a clear water oasis “mokoro” offer you a wonderful means of viewing wildlife as you glide between palm fringed islands

The camp has 9 large luxury safari tents, all with en suite showers and flush toilets; the bathrooms are enclosed for privacy, security and importantly offer you a truly unique bush adventure.

In the main thatched building you will find a cozy bar, lounge and table settings for imaginative meals prepared by our safari chefs

Activities on offer at PomPom Camp are game drives, night drive, mokoro excursions, boat cruises, game walks and fishing.

This is a camp for the safari traditionalist!

NXAI PAN | NXAI PAN NATIONAL PARK

Nxai Pan is the only permanent camp in the Nxai Pan National Park and is located on the western edge of the fossil pan from which it takes name, facing open grasslands. The biggest draw to the park are the zebras that migrate by the thousands to the area to drop their young – the second largest land animal migration in Southern Africa, during the summer after the rains have fallen. The pan is also known for its huge springbok population, wildebeest, elephants and large groups of giraffe. Activities include a day trip to Baines’ Baobabs, which have changed little in the 150 years since Thomas Baines immortalized them in his paintings. Another favourite is the bushman walk where guests learn how the San used to hunt, gather food and collect water.

The camps' nine spacious tents all have a relaxed lounge area, indoor and outdoor showers and viewing deck which faces onto the waterhole. One room has an additional twin bedroom for family use. The camp has a plunge pool, and both bedrooms and the open-air lounge, dining area and bar are thatched to maintain a comfortable temperature year round.
