We have meticulously chosen and prepared every aspect of the Safari Club to honour the very best of the African continent.
Our grounds perfectly reflect the space and freedom that Africa offers. With perfectly manicured lawns, swimming pool, pub and braai (BBQ) area, the Safari Club offers everything you could ever need in the most tranquil of settings.
Our 16 rooms accommodate all travelers, from the solo adventurers looking to explore, to families creating unforgettable memories together.
Life in Africa is lived slowly, with intention. We offer free wifi to keep in touch with your friends and relatives across the globe, yet we have also curated a selection of movies and board games so that you can fully disconnect and relax.
We have a small exercise room now with some equipment for guests who want to do some exercise. We have yoga mats, yoga balls, weights, restriction elastics, skipping ropes and will be getting a bicycle shortly.
AHA THAKADU RIVER CAMP | MADIKWE GAME RESERVE
Set along the banks of the Marico River, Thakadu River Camp provides luxurious tented accommodation and a stylish, comfortable base from which to explore the splendid game viewing that only Madikwe Game Reserve, close to the Botswana border, can provide.
The main lodge area is built on stilts within the riverfront vegetation and guarantees a serene setting for breakfast, dinners and relaxation.
Home to a tremendous array of animal, bird and plant species, Madikwe Game Reserve is the perfect game viewing destination and home to among others: Black & White Rhino, Buffalo, Elephant, Lion, Leopard, Cheetah and Wild Dog.
NEDILE LODGE | WELGEVONDEN GAME RESERVE
he Malaria-free Welgevonden Game Reserve, situated in the breathtaking Waterberg Biosphere is home to Nedile Lodge, where guests are met by luxury, warm hospitality and terrific activities to enjoy.
Nedile Lodge offers guests a truly African holiday experience, far from the stress and turmoil of daily life. This true bushveld environment is home to some of Africa’s most sought after game species, including one of the largest collections of white rhino on private land. Other species housed within this reserve include elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, eland and many other varieties of antelope. There may even be the opportunity to catch a glimpse of the aardvark, brown hyena or rarely seen honey badger.
MOPANE BUSH LODGE | MAPUNGUBWE
Mopane Bush Lodge is a tranquil bush retreat with attentive personal service at affordable rates, offering luxury fully catered accommodation in secluded thatched chalets. It nestles in the Mopane Bushveld on our Mapesu Private Nature Reserve, a 7200ha game farm. MOPANE BUSH LODGE is ideally located for visits to Mapungubwe National Park, Mapungubwe Hill, the centre of the UNESCO World Heritage Landscape where the first southern African kingdom was established in the 13th Century, San rock art sites, predator tracking and birding hotspot. Other attractions include baobabs, the Limpopo River and birding.
MADI A THAVHA MOUNTAIN LODGE | SOUTPANSBERG MOUNTAIN RANGE
Madi a Thavha, meaning “water from the mountains”, is set in a beautiful and quiet valley of the Soutpansberg Mountains of Northern Limpopo, only 10 km drive from the centre of Louis Trichardt (Makhado).
Enjoying the stylish and bright accommodations, excellent food, and the warm hospitality and supportive attitude of the Madi a Thavha staff will make your stay a remindable experience. At Madi a Thavha you find everything that the area has to offer: an exhibition of the art and crafts of the Venda and Tsonga artists, numerous bird species, walking routes, and the workshop of Madi a Thavha Design.
The lodge is an excellent base to spend a few days to explore the Venda and Tsonga culture, myths and legends and to discover unspoiled nature of the Soutpansberg and Limpopo valley. Madi a Thavha is a nice stop over when travelling to the Kruger National Park, Mapungubwe, the bush camps at Tuli Block in Botswana or the Victoria falls in Zimbabwe.
PUNDA MARIA REST CAMP | NORTHERN KRUGER
Punda Maria Rest Camp lies in the northernmost part of the Kruger National Park, 8 km away from the Punda Maria Gate. The camp is situated in the Sandveld region that is often described as 'the botanical garden' of the Kruger National Park. Game species likely to be sighted include impala, zebra, buffalo, elephant, eland and sable. The area is also a birder’s paradise. Guests can enjoy the swimming pool and 7 luxury safari tents. In the camp there are two different types of air-conditioned bungalows - two-bedded units and three-bedded units. There is also a family bungalow available, for larger family groups.
SHINGWEDZI MAIN CAMP | NORTHERN KRUGER
Centered in a quiet clearing along the banks of the Shingwedzi River, this eponymous camp provides a well balanced offering of luxury holiday and authentic, outdoor camping trip.
Shrouded in mopane trees, the area produces sightings of waterbuck, nyala, kudu, and elephant, as well as a variety of bird species. While the river does dry up in summer months, animal sightings are more frequent in winter as groups challenge each other over quickly disappearing pools left in the wake of the disappearing river.
HONEYGUIDE MANTOBENI TENTED CAMP | MANYELETI PRIVATE GAME RESERVE
Bordering the Kruger National Park and situated between the Timbavati and the Sabi Sand Reserves, lies the Manyeleti Game Reserve. This expanse of pristine wilderness is home to two tented camps – Mantobeni Camp and Khoka Moya Camp.
Each camp offers breathtaking wildlife experiences, including the Big Five, superb cuisine, and service excellence. Mantobeni Camp features 15 tents each furnished with a king-size bed (or two twin beds), and an en suite bathroom with a sunken bath, double shower, his and hers basins, and a separate toilet. The camp also boasts a large sitting area, an outdoor area with a splash pool and sun loungers, a bar area, and an extensive climate-controlled wine cellar. Wildlife drinking at a nearby watering holes can be seen from the swimming pool deck which adjoins the reception area.
UMBHABA LODGE & RESTAURANT | HAZYVIEW
Umbhaba Eco Lodge is situated just 15 min from the Kruger national parks Numbi or Phabeni gates, recently rebuilt in 2019, the lodge has 16 superior rooms and 27 Standard rooms , all rooms have their own balcony’s and new air conditioners and mosquito netting, the lodge offers a great menu , with its famous Umbhaba burger, and steaks, baskets and pastas, a lovely restaurant overlooking the beautiful Sabie valley in the distance, an outdoor swimming pool, a bar and huge garden with 5 lovely dams full of fish and Bird life, one can follow our Tree trail and enjoy the great surroundings.
The lodge offers free WI-FI in all rooms.
