LITTLE KULALA | SOSSUSVLEI

Little Kulala is the closest luxury desert retreat to the famous, seen-from-space Sossusvlei dunes. Guests enjoy exclusive private concession access and the camp’s location makes early morning dune visits (to see Sossusvlei at its best) very easy.

Eleven luxury desert suites expanded to offer improved airflow, each have a private plunge pool, private rooftop area for sundowners, "African tapas" and other rooftop dinners or stargazing, a signature sleep-out experience on the bottom deck of each accommodation to allow for easy access during the night, luxury fittings, as well as indoor and outdoor showers. In terms of colour and form, Little Kulala blends seamlessly into the desert landscape with interiors reflecting the environment. Activities make the most of the solitude and stark beauty of the Namib Desert, with nature drives and guided walks revealing the majesty and mystery of the Namib Sand Sea.

SORRIS SORRIS LODGE | BRANDBERG

With natural wonders such as the Brandberg Massif and the Ugab River as a backdrop, Sorris Sorris offers a true opulent base for exploring Damaraland's rugged desert scenery. Here guests can delve into wonderful activities – like nature drives to find desert-adapted elephants or hot air balloon rides over the rugged landscape. Sorris Sorris is one of four new luxury lodges in Namibia with just nine suites, each designed to take in the surrounding landscape but filled with all of the creature comforts you would expect and more. Pale woods, crisp linens and modern architectural design contrast with the rugged mountain terrain and offer a stylish base for your adventures. There is a swimming pool and deck where you can lounge away an afternoon or between your activities, an open-fronted lounge which enjoys the breeze and uninterrupted views of Damaraland and the mountains beyond.

OKAHIRONGO ELEPHANT LODGE | PURROS

Okahirongo Elephant Lodge is situated in the Purros Conservancy in Kaokoland, one of the last truly wild areas in the North West of Namibia and it features beautiful mountain landscapes and rugged tranquility. Activities include game drives in open 4x4 vehicles, tracking the renowned desert adapted elephants, walks and visits to the local Himba village.

Okahirongo Elephant Lodge is located in the Purros Conservancy, 55 km from the skeleton coast and around 200 km south of the Kunene River in the north of Namibia. Often described as one of the last true wilderness areas, the Kaokoveld is home to the nomadic Himba tribe as well as uniquely desert adapted Elephant, lion, black rhino and giraffe.

The lodge, in the Purros Conservancy area, is a no risk malaria destination and can be reached by 4x4 vehicles. Alternatively a 2 ½ hour flight from Windhoek in a small aircraft will take you to a landing strip, which is located approximately 5 minutes from the lodge.

OKAHIRONGO RIVER CAMP | KUNENE

Okahirongo River Camp is an eco-friendly lodge built on a sweeping ridge and opening up to breathtaking views of the Kunene River. The central area, constructed above the rapids, comprises two lounges, a library and dining room, decked out in African elegance. The turquoise waters of the swimming pool spell out refreshment from the desert heat and the spacious sundeck invites sunbathing or simply delighting in the exotic grandeur of the natural surrroundings. Cleverly built into the rocky terrain, the four luxurious double tents, one twin tent and one family suite are constructed with wood and canvas and each have a magnificent view of their own. MUSHARA OUTPOST | ETOSHA EAST

Based upon the elegance of an African Homestead, yet with a contemporary flavour, the Mushara Outpost offers a superb combination of splendid accommodation, exquisite cuisine and personal service. The spacious interior, tastefully decorated with hand-picked artifacts, is surrounded by a predominantly north-east facing verandah. This, in combination with the extruding high roof structure, offers a cool retreat from the heat of the African sun. Perched over a metre off the ground, and encased by the Tamboti trees that map the ancient dry river bed also known as omaramba, these 8 air-conditioned tent-like structures offer a secluded haven, the ideal retreat after the day's adventures.
