Take a journey through the heart of Namibia and witness its diverse landscapes, from the majestic Kalahari to the towering dunes of Sossusvlei, the rugged Skeleton Coast, and the wildlife haven of Etosha National Park. Plus, you'll explore the eerie Kolmanskop Ghost Town and the surreal Dead Pan.

Day 1 - Arrival

It’s been a long journey, finally you’ve arrived in Namibia. Your guide will be waiting for you at the airport.

Head to your accommodation (Standard - The Elegant Guesthouse & Luxury - The Weinberg Windhoek) , check in and relax! You have an exciting Namibian guided safari ahead of you. Your guide will make a recommendation for dinner and then also discuss your route and all the stops along the way with you.

Day 2 – Kalahari

This morning you’re off with your guide and private safari vehicle to the red dunes of the Kalahari, home to the San Bushmen. Experience the breathtaking beauty of the Kalahari with its red dunes and wildlife or immerse yourself in the San Culture and learn about their ancient hunting techniques and jewelry making.

As the sun sets and the first stars appear in the night sky, make yourself comfortable around the fire sharing stories of the experiences you’ve has so far.

Day 3 – Fish River Canyon

As you head further south today, prepare yourself for the most spectacular view over the second largest canyon in the world, the Fish River Canyon.

Along the way you can visit the Quivertree Forest and Giant’s Playground with your private guide. With over 250 species of quiver tree, the forest and nearby dolerite rock formations are a popular attraction for photographers.

Day 4 & 5 – Luderitz

Enjoy a morning view over the canyon before heading west with your guide to Luderitz. Along the way at Aus you have a chance to see the wild horses of the Namib Desert.

Enjoy a stroll through town where you can catch a glimpse of some impressive colonial architecture and Art Nouveau work. Visit the museum or just relax at your accommodation before heading to the ghost town, Kolmanskop, with your guide.

This is your first Skeleton Coast experience, so make the most of it and take a catamaran cruise to Halifax Island, home to a colony of African penguins. If you’re lucky you can also spot whales, dolphins and a number of aquatic birdlife.

Day 6 – NamibRand Reserve

Head back to Aus and then further north along the NamibRand Reserve boasting some impressive landscapes of fairy circles scattered among rusty red dunes. Your guide will make sure to stop along the way for you to enjoy the view and take some photographs.

Your lodge is located on a private farm just outside the NamibRand Reserve. Enjoy a sundowner drive to end the day, tomorrow you’re heading to one of the most-famed attractions in Namibia, Sossusvlei.

Day 7 & 8 – Sossusvlei

It’s a short drive today which means you can be at your lodge in time to enjoy a walk in the area and a lovely sundowner.

You have a full day to explore the Namib Naukluft Park with your guide. Take plenty of water along and a good pair of shoes if you plan on climbing to the top of Big Daddy. Getting to Dead Valley also requires a bit of walking, but you will be rewarded with one of the most spectacular sights in the world.

Day 9 & 10 – Swakopmund

On your journey to the coast today, you will head to Solitaire where you can stop for some delicious home-baked goods and a quick cup of coffee before continuing on through the Gaub and Kuiseb Canyons; stop with your guide at the Welwitschia Plains and Moon Landscape before heading to Swakopmund.

Explore the shores of the Skeleton Coast on a 4x4 Sandwich Harbour Excursion where an expert guide will take you along the tiny expanse of beach wedged in-between the turbulent waves of the Atlantic Ocean and towering sand dunes to Sandwich Harbour.

Your guide can assist you in making the most of your time in Swakopmund by booking a few of the many activities on offer. You can also spend your time walking through town visiting cafes, museums, curio shops and galleries or head to Walvis Bay with your guide to spend some time at the lagoon and photograph the flamingoes.

Day 11 & 12 – Damaraland

Rock paintings, petrified forests, local villages and the elusive Desert Adapted Elephants of Damaraland await! Your guide will take you north along the Skeleton Coast to Cape Cross where you can visit the seal colony and a few shipwrecks along the way.

Then you’ll head inland through vast desert plains and granite outcrops to your lodge in the Twyfelfontein area. Check in and relax before heading out with you guide to explore the area.

It’s been another great day in Namibia! Tomorrow you’ll be heading to the Etosha National Park for a game viewing extravaganza!

Day 13 – Etosha South

Today you’ll be heading north east towards the southern side of Etosha National Park with your guide. You can stop along the way to visit the Otjikandero Himba Orphan Village or head straight to your lodge and then into the park.

The southern side of Etosha boasts one of the most well-known waterholes in the world at Okaukuejo. Be sure to also explore the surrounding waterholes, Mopane Forest and plains with your guide before returning to your lodge for a sundowner and enjoy a spectacular dinner under the stars.

Day 14 & 15 – Etosha East

Your guide will take you on a full day game drive from the southern side of the park to your lodge just outside the eastern gate to the park.

This area is teeming with wildlife and you can expect to see lions, elephants, black rhinos, giraffes and a variety of birdlife.

You have another full day to enjoy game drives in the park with your guide. Make the most of your last day in Namibia as you will be heading home tomorrow.

Day 16 - The end of your journey

A quick breakfast and early morning game drive before heading back to Windhoek with your guide. You can stop in Okahandja along the way to visit the local wood carver’s market. Your guide will make sure there is enough time to get you to the airport in time for your departure flight back home.
